Heavy-duty lifting device

Heavy equipment goes on a trip to Denmark

Aero-Lift has shipped one of its heavy-duty lifting devices to Denmark. The vacuum lifting device previously filled almost the entire production hall; it measures 17 meters, has a lifting capacity of 32,000 kilograms and 33 large suction plates.

A few weeks ago, two heavy-duty vacuum lifting devices manufactured by Aero-Lift Vakuumtechnik were lifted onto an extra-long truck using a heavy-duty crane and shipped abroad. Now it was time for another shipment to Denmark.

Aero-Lift Vakuumtechnik manufactures lifting solutions using vacuum technology in the tranquil town of Binsdorf. There is a suitable lifting solution here for mechanical and plant engineering, the wood and furniture industry, the chemical/pharmaceutical/food industry, logistics, the construction industry and many more. From the smallest electronic components to metal plates weighing several tons for wind turbines, vacuum technology and soft suction plates are used to gently lift and move materials and backs.

The loading of the heavy-duty lifting device looks impressive, as it hovered almost six meters above the yard. According to the company, everything was lashed down after just under an hour. The vacuum lifting device previously filled almost the entire production hall, it measures 17 meters, has a lifting capacity of 32,000 kilograms and has 33 large suction plates on the massive steel crossbeams. The weight of the device itself is five tons.

The Aero-Lift devices are always designed for twice the suction power and are safe even in the event of a power failure. Six suction circuits can be controlled on this device, which can be switched on or off depending on the size of the panel to be lifted. A special highlight is the emergency control panel, which guarantees operation of all appliance functions such as suction or release as well as control of the suction circuits in the event of a radio remote control failure.

And what happens with this heavy-duty vacuum lifting device in Denmark? It is used to lift and move extremely heavy steel plates up to 20 meters long, three meters wide and almost seven centimetres high. The flat steel plates are then turned into round tower segments for wind turbines in the subsequent production process. With vacuum technology, the enormous weight is no problem and the sheet metal is also protected by suction using soft seals. as
