At Logimat 2024, vacuum expert Schmalz will be focusing on perfect handling solutions for bags, cardboard boxes and other packaging. Grippers and ergonomic lifting aids support skilled workers and robots in all picking and transfer tasks. Vacuum generators with a wide range of options are in use.
Schmalz has developed many tools for goods handling in its trade fair baggage - such as the PSSG sack suction pad for handling paper, plastic and fabric sacks, the Jumboflex tube lifter including the Schmalz Application Assistant (SAA) digitalization tool for manual handling, the FSGC bellows suction pad, the FMG matrix area gripper and the ivOS Pick and Pack solution kit for fast picking and bin-picking applications.
These handling solutions are based on vacuum generators, such as the SCTMi mini compact terminals, which control up to 16 separate vacuum circuits. They are so small and light that they can be placed directly on the gripper or on a moving axis. They evacuate the gripping system quickly, are energy-efficient and scalable. This makes them suitable for flexible use in different applications. The new SCPLb / SCPLc multi-stage compact ejector is also coming to Stuttgart - it is predestined for porous workpieces such as cardboard and packaging materials thanks to its high suction capacity.
