At Wire 2018, Schmolz + Bickenbach will be presenting its wide range of special long steel and services for the most demanding requirements. Saving weight, increasing performance, ensuring a high level of safety and comfort - whether in drive, braking or assistance systems: High-performance steel contributes to the production of advanced and energy-efficient vehicles.

From ultra-fine wire with a diameter of 13 micrometres to forgings weighing more than 54 tons - the exhibiting subsidiaries cover a wide range of services in the field of special long steel.

But functional, elegant elements, such as plastic castings for headlights and fittings, also require the use of high-quality steel products. High-quality material solutions are also indispensable in the aerospace industry. Stainless steels and engineering steels enable the production of safety-relevant components such as brake components, shafts and fuel and air distributors.
