Clamping nut for heavy press tools
With the ESGL type, Enemac is launching a mechanical clamping nut for extremely heavy press tools.
A special crown gear with right-angled deflection of the rotation inside the nut provides the clamping force reinforcement. In addition, it is equipped with a disk spring package for clamping stroke control, which is located in a separate housing. This package ensures that the clamping nut can be readjusted if the clamping length changes slightly without a significant drop in clamping force. The internal gearbox can be driven by turning a nut attached to the side of the housing, thereby securely clamping the counterpart. This manually generates a clamping force of 12 t. Thread sizes from M16 to M30 are available for the clamping nut.
The power clamping nut is screwed onto the existing bolt, then turned to the specified torque using a standard torque wrench on the hexagon socket on the side.
