Thomas Wagner takes over as Chairman of the Management Board
Thomas Wagner takes over as Chairman of the Board of Directors of ebm-papst, replacing Stefan Brandl.
Stefan Brandl, 52, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ebm-papst Group, has decided to leave the company on June 30, 2021 to take on a new professional challenge as Vice Chairman of the Dräxlmaier Group. From July 1, 2021, Thomas Wagner, Managing Director Production and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ebm-papst Group since 2002, will take over as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Thomas Nürnberger, CEO of ebm-papst China since 2016, will take over responsibility for Sales on the Group Management Board from April 1, 2021.
Stefan Brandl has contributed significantly to the positive development of the company in responsible positions at ebm-papst for over 30 years, most recently as CEO, and has positioned the Group strategically for a successful future. Under his leadership, the implementation of the "one" strategy transformed three decentrally managed units into a strong group of companies with a clear focus on the growth markets of China and North America. At the same time, he initiated new digital business models for the ebm-papst Group with the "innovation incubator" ebm-papst neo.
