DC relay for mobility applications
Three new PCB relays from Omron Electronic Components Europe target automotive and mobility applications where space is at a premium and performance is critical.
The new Omron G8K, G8G and G8PM relays support the control of high power DC motors. The new devices offer high contact pressure with large coil size combined with AC 500V isolation capability. Each device targets the specific requirements of different motor control applications in a small format that favors high-density mounting and lowers overall PCB costs.
The relays for short-term switching operations require only 95% of the volume and footprint of comparable components. With 37 A short-time and 5 A continuous current carrying capacity and a service life of 100,000 switching cycles at nominal load, G8K components can provide high switching capacities.
