Markus Asch becomes Chairman of the Management Board of Rittal
On February 1, 2021, Prof. Friedhelm Loh, owner and CEO of the Friedhelm Loh Group, appointed Markus Asch as CEO of Rittal International Stiftung & Co. KG and Chairman of the Management Board of Rittal GmbH & Co.
The 49-year-old is thus responsible for all business areas of the system provider for control cabinets, power distribution, air conditioning, IT infrastructure, software and service. The company has 58 subsidiaries and 9,700 employees worldwide. Asch will also assume overall responsibility for Rittal Software & Service (RSS) International with the Eplan and Cideon units and 1,400 employees. With software solutions, system technology and machines for automation, the three companies of the Friedhelm Loh Group optimize the processes of their customers in control and switchgear engineering across the board and drive forward future business areas.
Over the past 25 years, Asch has held various management positions at the family-owned company and global market leader for cleaning equipment Alfred Kärcher SE & Co KG, most recently as Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and CTO. Under his leadership, Kärcher Professional developed into the clear technology and market leader in the B2B sector. Asch drove the further development of modular and scalable product and solution platforms and successfully aligned the sales organization with the development of new customer and market potential.
