Ziehl-Abegg launches construction project in Poland
Modern and secure jobs in Lodz
"Megatrends such as digitalization, climate change and urbanization are increasing demand and require a significant increase in our production capacities," says Joachim Ley, Chief Production Officer at fan manufacturer Ziehl-Abegg. The company is therefore investing around 50 million euros in a new plant in central Poland.
"Poland is fundamentally a very important market for us," emphasizes Adam Korzybski. He is Managing Director of Ziehl-Abegg Poland, where he has worked in sales since 1997. The building is to be constructed in the south-east of Lodz within nine months. Production is scheduled to start in fall 2023.
The 17,000m2 area in the building is gradually being equipped with machines. "We are gradually building up the production facilities," explains Ley. The plan is to create 300 to 400 new jobs within five years. The focus of future production will be on fans for heat pumps.
