New production sites in Slovenia

Following the construction of the first European robot factory in Kočevje, Slovenia, Yaskawa is continuing its expansion strategy in Europe. In Slovenia, the construction of new production sites for the manufacture of frequency inverters, servo drives and servo motors is planned.

At the end of 2018, the first Motoman robots from purely European production will roll off the production line in Kočevje. Yaskawa is now setting up additional production sites in Slovenia to meet the growing demand for drive technology. The new production facilities for the manufacture of frequency inverters, servo drives and servo motors will be built close to the robot factory.

"By expanding our manufacturing capacity, we will further improve the supply chain, shorten lead times and increase service to our European customers," says Manfred Stern, President and CEO of Yaskawa Europe. "The current production facility of servo drives and frequency converters in Cumbernauld, Scotland will be maintained at current capacity utilization and will remain an important factor in meeting the increasing demand for Yaskawa drive products," he adds. am
