Weidmüller exceeds one billion euros in sales in its anniversary year

2025 was a special year for Weidmüller: the electrical and connection technology company celebrated its 175th anniversary and at the same time reached the one billion euro sales mark. Despite a persistently challenging economic environment, the family-owned company was able to achieve moderate growth in the single-digit percentage range.

"The fact that we have once again reached the one billion euro sales mark despite the persistently difficult economic environment shows that we are on the right track: With our technologies, we are shaping the megatrends of electrification, automation and digitalization," says Dr Sebastian Durst, CEO of the Weidmüller Group. "Our investments in innovation, sustainability and our locations, especially in Germany, are paying off and form the basis for further growth."

Weidmüller anniversary: Orange Weeks with international industrial customers

One focus of the anniversary year was the Orange Weeks event series. Throughout the year, Weidmüller invited customer groups from all over the world to Detmold.

In workshops and demonstrations, guests were given exclusive insights into the company's products and solutions - live and hands-on. Due to its great success, Weidmüller is planning to continue the Orange Weeks in 2026.

New Weidmüller electronics plant expands production and manufacturing

Another highlight was the opening of the new electronics plant in Detmold. The ultra-modern production building expands production capacity and primarily serves the European market.

With its regional focus, Weidmüller is responding to geopolitical tensions and ensuring stable supply chains.

Industry 4.0, automation and Industrial IoT: Weidmüller outlook 2026

For 2026, Weidmüller has announced that it will further expand its activities in the fields of electrical connection technology, industrial IoT, automation and renewable energies. The company wants to develop specific solutions for customer applications and strengthen its international competitiveness through new partnerships.

"We are convinced that we will continue to be successful together with our customers and partners in the coming year. Our aim remains to play an active role in shaping the industrial transformation," says Dr. Sebastian Durst.
