automatica 2023
Versatile exhibitors in the field of robotics and automation
automatica - the leading trade fair for intelligent automation and robotics - is taking place again this year. The reason for this is the change to a new rhythm. From now on, the international automation industry will always meet at the Munich exhibition center in odd-numbered years, parallel to the Laser World of Photonics.
Project manager Anja Schneider is optimistic about next summer's event: "Our lives are increasingly determined by global challenges such as supply chain issues and the shortage of skilled workers. Robotics and automation as key technologies offer the right solutions for this. Only intelligently automated and digitally networked production can be economical and sustainable. automatica in Munich shows how this works."
Key players have already confirmed their participation
Around four and a half months before the start of the event, which will take place from June 27 - 30, the hall areas are filling up and the entire value chain of robotics and automation is represented. ABB, Fanuc, Kawasaki, Kuka, Stäubli, Universal Robots and Yaskawa, among others, have confirmed their participation in the robotics sector.
In the field of assembly and handling technology, Afag, Bosch Rexroth, Deprag, Festo, Hahn Group, Mikron, PIA Automation, Schaeffler, Schunk and Weber Schraubautomaten will be represented. Exhibitors from the field of industrial image processing include Basler, Carl Zeiss, Cognex, IDS, MVTec, VMT and Visio Nerf.
Other well-known exhibitors such as Beckhoff, Heidenhain, ifm, Murrelektronik and Siemens will also be presenting their products and solutions in Munich.
In addition to the leading companies from the automation industry, there are also many exciting newcomers on board. "The economic forecasts for robotics and automation are also currently positive - so the prospects are good for an exciting and rewarding automatica 2023," summarizes Anja Schneider.
Digital integration and AI, sustainable production, future of work
automatica 2023 will focus on three key topics: digital integration and AI, sustainable production and the future of work.
The area of digital integration and AI addresses topics such as augmented/virtual reality. Digital Twins and standards for networked production.
Sustainable production is made up of the elements of CO2 neutrality, circular economy, adaptability of production, AI and green tech.
The future of work is closely linked to the concepts of human-machine collaboration, service robotics and mobile robotics. Under the motto "ease-of-use", SMEs and less automated sectors far beyond the manufacturing industry are also to be given access to automation and thus support in compensating for the shortage of skilled workers.
munich_i for the third time at automatica
With two events to date, the high-tech platform munich_i has developed into one of the leading formats for robotics and AI. "Together with our partner MIRMI (Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence) of the Technical University of Munich, we are very pleased to once again provide orientation in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics this year and at the same time place these developments in an ethical and social context," explains Anja Schneider. munich_i consists of the High-Tech Summit on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, the robotics and AI special show AI.Society with its extensive supporting program consisting of politics, business and science, as well as the hybrid robotics competition called Robothon.
automatica supporting program 2023
Visitors can also look forward to an extensive supporting program over the four days of the trade fair. In addition to proven formats such as the Start-up Arena, the joint stands for machine vision or smart maintenance and the forum stages, automatica 2023 will focus on the following topics: "Mobile robots in production", service robotics and the promotion of young talent. "The focal points in the supporting program have great potential for dialogue and discussion. We expect this to create particular added value for all participants," emphasizes Anja Schneider.
In the TestZone for robot models, the focus this year is on small and medium-sized companies with a low level of automation.
