TOP 100: Faulhaber is one of the innovation leaders 2018
For the 25th time, the TOP 100 competition has chosen the most innovative companies in the German SME sector. Dr. Fritz Faulhaber GmbH & Co KG is one of this year's innovation leaders. This was the result of an analysis by the scientific director of TOP 100, Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke.
As a mentor of TOP 100, Ranga Yogeshwar honored the company from Schönaich together with Franke and compamedia at the award ceremony in Ludwigsburg on 29 June 2018 as part of the 5th German SME Summit. Dr. Fritz Faulhaber made the leap into this innovation elite for the third time. In the independent selection process, the company with 646 employees was particularly convincing in the "Innovation Success" category.
Whether film camera, insulin pump or tattoo machine - drive systems from Dr. Fritz Faulhaber GmbH & Co. KG in Schönaich are ubiquitous these days. For 70 years now, the owner-managed family business with 646 employees has been developing and selling micromotors and is one of the world's leading suppliers in its sector. The inventiveness of the Swabians is particularly evident in the development of customer-specific special solutions. For a new type of hand prosthesis, for example, the top innovator designed a separate micromotor weighing just eleven grams for each individual finger. With these light and handy devices, the medium-sized company is also conquering the beauty market: tattoo artists and beauticians benefit from the precision of the devices.
Fritz Faulhaber's solutions are also used in the field of industrial automation. For example, the top innovator supplies its customers with innovative motion controllers, which are used to control the position, speed and acceleration of motors. This means that the three-time TOP 100 company has intelligent and powerful drive systems for almost all applications in its portfolio.
