New exhibition hall
SPS IPC Drives can continue to grow
For SPS IPC Drives, the signs are once again pointing to growth: the current booking rate is already above last year's result. Additional space is needed to accommodate the growing interest, which is why an additional hall is being added to the trade fair for automation.
For the organizer Mesago Messe Frankfurt, it was clear that this would be the new Hall 3C, which will open in autumn 2018. This hall is set to become the new eye-catcher at the south-west corner of the Nuremberg exhibition grounds. "We are very pleased that with Hall 3C we can offer our exhibitors another modern, light-flooded hall and thus make the trade fair offer even more tangible," explains Sylke Schulz-Metzner, Division Manager at Mesago for SPS IPC Drives.
Changed focus and new routes
As a result of the growth, the focus of individual halls has changed: Hall 5, together with Hall 6, will focus on software & IT in manufacturing in future and will have a further thematic focus with industrial communication. In order to provide growth potential for the trade fair theme of mechanical infrastructure, these suppliers will be located in the newly added Hall 3C.
This move will create proximity to the neighboring Hall 2, which is also dedicated to mechanical infrastructure. For the first time, trade visitors will have the opportunity to find out about the latest products and solutions in the field of smart and digital automation in 17 halls.
There will be little change to the usual hall layout - instead, the exhibition grounds will showcase key areas in an even more compact way, allowing visitors to find products and solutions quickly. The current hall plan and further information can be found on the trade fair website under the navigation point Event site. as
