Software AG: John Schweitzer succeeds Eric Duffaut

John Schweitzer has been appointed by the Supervisory Board of Software AG as the new Chief Customer Officer and member of the Executive Board as of November 1, 2018. The 50-year-old succeeds Eric Duffaut, who is pursuing new challenges outside the Group after four years at Software AG.

John Schweitzer is an executive with proven experience in managing dynamic growth at both young and established software companies. At SAP, Schweitzer was responsible for the multi-billion dollar analytics business and the successful launch of HANA in the US market. During his 23 years in the international software industry, Schweitzer focused on the areas of integration, applications, databases and analytics. In these areas, he successfully increased sales with existing and new customers and opened up new markets.

At Workday and DataStax, he built new teams that generated revenue growth in traditional and new technology markets. Previously, Schweitzer lived in England and worked at Hyperion and Oracle, where he was responsible for the strategic direction for growth in the USA and Europe.
