Sepro Group and Universal Robots announce new partnership
Sepro Group, supplier of robots and industrial automation for the plastics industry, and Universal Robots have signed an agreement to collaborate in the fields of collaborative robotics and industrial automation.
As part of this partnership, the Sepro Group will integrate its Visual control system into collaborative robots (cobots) from Universal Robots. The Visual control platform was developed by Sepro specifically for robots used on plastic injection molding machines.
Jean-Michel Renaudeau, CEO of Sepro Group, says: "I am delighted to announce this partnership, which will expand our already extensive portfolio." Jürgen von Hollen, President Universal Robots, adds: "I am also very pleased about our new partnership with the Sepro Group, which is focused on the plastic injection molding automation market. Sepro has many years of experience and extensive knowledge of how to automate manufacturing processes."
This partnership portfolio includes linear robots, 6-axis articulated robots and now collaborative robots. The new solutions from Sepro and UR enable shorter process development times and faster installation. This results in easy to implement, easy to test post-processing processes and turnkey automation systems.
Under the agreement, Sepro will provide global service for Sepro and Universal Robots solutions.
