Sensopart: Thorsten Wanner takes over operational management
Thorsten Wanner took over the operational management from his father Dr. Theodor Wanner, who founded the sensor company Sensopart 25 years ago, on August 1.
Thorsten Wanner studied electrical engineering at the University of Karlsruhe and then completed an international MBA program at the College des Ingenieurs in Paris on a scholarship. After a total of seven years in development, product management and sales in Germany and abroad in the automation technology division of Siemens and four years in product management and business development at Festo in Esslingen, he joined Sensopart at the end of 2015, where he took over responsibility for marketing and business development. After a year, he also took on responsibility for the subsidiaries in China, France, England and the USA. He has been Head of Global Sales since 2018.
"I am very much looking forward to my new role," emphasizes Thorsten Wanner. "Sensopart is very well positioned technologically and therefore has the best prerequisites to continue to grow in the future."
Sensopart develops, produces and distributes a wide range of innovative sensors for factory automation. The focus is on optoelectronic sensors and camera-based vision sensors, which are used in industrial applications - for example to detect objects or colors, for distance measurement, for code reading or in robotics.
