Schneider Electric launches innovation center in the Black Forest
Batam, Beijing, Singapore, Paris, Lahr - a Schneider Electric Innovation Hub is now also open to customers, partners, pupils and students in the Black Forest.
Here, visitors can gain an insight into the possibilities of the Smart Factory and get to know innovations such as Tesys island, Green Box and new solutions from the Harmony command and signaling program. Exhibits and audiovisual media provide information about the Group, its corporate history and philosophy as well as the range of Smart Factory solutions at the Lahr site.
Technology from the trendsetter
Innovations are on the daily agenda in Lahr, where the engines of tomorrow are created. The plant, which was expanded into a smart factory in spring, is a competence center for motor technologies and linear axes. Servomotors, stepper motors, integrated drives and actuators are developed and produced here. They are used in particular in packaging technology and in the field of material processing and transportation.
Flexibility is important here in order to be able to respond to market requirements. This is ensured by EcoStruxure - an open, scalable, IoT-capable solution architecture with plug & play components that connects the three levels of networked components, edge control and the software layer with apps, analytics and services. The Innovation Hub demonstrates innovation on all three levels of the architecture and their communication from the sensor to the cloud. as
