SAS: Annette Green takes over management of the DACH region
Annette Green will take over the position of Vice President DACH at analytics provider SAS on January 1, 2019.
Born in Germany, she has held various management positions in sales and marketing at SAS headquarters in Cary (North Carolina) for almost 30 years - most recently as Vice President of the Commercial division. She has extensive experience in working with customers and projects of all sizes. Annette Green will be responsible for business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland from the Heidelberg office. She succeeds Dr. Patric Märki, who has left the company.
Green holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from North Carolina State University (NCSU) and has also completed post-graduate studies in Computer Science at NCSU's School of Management Sciences. She is married and the mother of two sons.
"We did not make the search for the right leader for the DACH region easy," says Mark Wilkinson, Senior Vice President North EMEA at SAS, explaining the selection. "Annette is an excellent choice for this position. She brings a wealth of experience of working with global clients from her many years at SAS. We are delighted that Annette has accepted this challenge."
"Exciting times - the analytics market has become even more dynamic thanks to artificial intelligence and machine learning. I am very much looking forward to launching new and innovative projects together with the teams in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and with our customers in the DACH region. Companies today have to think globally - and so do we. I am convinced that I can make an important contribution with my international experience. And of course it is something special to come 'home'," comments Annette Green.
