On course for growth

Record figures at Escha

With a consolidated turnover of 68.5 million euros, the Escha Group recorded growth of 34% compared to 2016. The previous records for order intake and employee numbers were also broken for the fourth time in a row. Around 900 employees currently work for the family-owned company worldwide. That is 17 percent more than in the previous year. Across the Group, 150 new permanent jobs were created, nine of which were for trainees.

According to Escha, this growth is based on increased demand in all key markets and is not attributable to a single region. Particularly high growth rates were achieved in the renewable energy sector, the bus and rail industry and in automation solutions for mobile machines. Industrial Ethernet products were another driver.

Without a bundle of sales and location strategy measures, the steady growth figures of recent years would not have been possible, according to the company. These include the launch of direct sales in Poland in March 2017, the commissioning of the new production and logistics center at the headquarters in Halver and the doubling of capacity at the plant in China. In order to be prepared for further growth, planning is currently underway for a plant expansion in Germany. This is to be realized in 2019. The company is planning sales growth in the high single-digit percentage range for 2018. kp
