"Joining forces with Hoerbiger is an exciting new chapter for us and the logical next step in PI's evolution," says Markus Spanner, CEO of PI. "Together with Hoerbiger, PI will continue its mission to be a leader in precision motion and positioning technology while staying true to its culture and values."

PI's global activities with 1,900 employees will form the new Positioning division within the Hoerbiger portfolio.

Dr. Thorsten Kahlert, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Hoerbiger, emphasizes: "PI and Hoerbiger are a perfect match. Both companies share the same values, attach great importance to customer-oriented innovation and are leaders in their respective markets with their performance-defining products. We are delighted to partner with the PI team and are confident that the merger will make both companies even stronger for the future."

Nothing will change for PI's customers and partners: all existing contracts, conditions, ordering and delivery processes will remain unchanged and the usual contacts will continue to be available. Ongoing programs, development activities and delivery commitments will also continue without interruption.
