Norway's appointment as Partner Country underlines the country's ambition to deliver and develop new solutions for the green transformation of industry. "It is a great honor for Norway to be the partner country of Hannover Messe. Norway has a highly skilled workforce, advanced industry and energy technology and a high level of trust and stability, which makes us an important partner for the green transition and one of the most attractive countries in the world for business. We are very excited about the opportunity to showcase the Norwegian way of doing business and what Norway has to offer as a whole," says Vestre.

Norway has a rich industrial history and is a reliable energy producer. The partner country's motto is "Norway 2024: Pioneering the Green Industrial Transition". It underlines Norway's ambitions with regard to the transformation towards a low-carbon society as well as its key role in developing solutions in areas such as renewable energy, carbon-neutral production or the application of green and digital solutions - which are necessary to transform industry and achieve the goal of zero emissions.

"Norway's presence as a partner country will further strengthen close European cooperation on energy and climate issues. Together, we can drive forward the decarbonization of industry and set the necessary course at Hannover Messe. The Norwegian-German Energy Conference, which will take place on the second day of the trade fair, will serve this purpose," adds Köckler. "The main focus there will be on fleshing out the business models of the hydrogen economy in order to create investment security for the necessary infrastructure for production, transport, storage and distribution."

Norway is fully integrated into the European Single Market through the EEA Agreement, so that trade and investment flow seamlessly between Norway, Germany and the rest of the European Union. Norway and Germany are important trading partners. In order to work even more closely together on green transformations, they have entered into a strategic partnership in the areas of climate, renewable energy and green industry.

In the Norway Pavilion in Hall 12, top Norwegian companies will be showcasing products and solutions for the energy transition and a sustainable industry. Exhibitors from the fields of energy, the process industry, battery/charging solutions and digitalization will be presenting their products and services. A networking program promotes cooperation between Norwegian and international companies and presents business opportunities for foreign investors. The Norwegian-German Energy Conference on April 23 complements the program.
