parts2clean 2019
New challenges for parts and surface cleaning
parts2clean 2019 will show how new challenges for industrial parts and surface cleaning can be met by global trends such as electromobility, autonomous driving, lightweight construction, miniaturization, automation and digitalization. The 17th leading international trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning will take place at the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre from 22 to 24 October 2019.
The current topics are changed and new manufacturing technologies, such as the increasing use of bonding, laser welding and coating processes as well as additively manufactured components. On the other hand, more and more workpieces made from new materials and material combinations as well as complete assemblies need to be cleaned. In addition, there are stricter regulatory requirements such as the new European Medical Device Regulation (MDR).
Many changes therefore present companies with the task of reviewing and questioning existing processes. "parts2clean is an ideal information platform for this," says Olaf Daebler, Global Director parts2clean at Deutsche Messe. "As a global meeting place for the industry, the exhibitors at the trade fair not only present the current state of the art in industrial parts and surface cleaning, but also show trends and offer solutions." A glance at the list of exhibitors confirms this statement. Almost all the market and technology leaders from the various exhibition segments, who traditionally present their new and further developments for the first time at the trade fair, can already be found there.

Industry-specific requirements
The future-oriented range enables visitors from a wide variety of sectors such as the automotive and supplier industry, medical technology, mechanical engineering, aerospace, precision and micromechanics, optics, electronics, the semiconductor industry and coating technology to obtain efficient and targeted information. This applies regardless of whether the focus is on process technology and systems that can be used to meet increasing particulate and/or filmic cleanliness requirements reliably and efficiently, or whether the task is to clean components made of new materials or with very complex geometries. Solutions for controlling, monitoring and checking cleaning, rinsing and drying processes and the cleanliness achieved also play an important role here. Another area is the automation of cleaning, including parts handling, for example with robots and appropriately designed workpiece carriers. The intelligent integration of cleaning processes into networked production environments and cloud solutions, which can be used to access a wide range of information anytime and anywhere, is also becoming increasingly important. This topic will be rounded off by the special QSREIN 4.0 format, which will focus on the future of process control in aqueous component cleaning.
Whether full-surface or partial cleanliness - there is an emerging trend towards dry cleaning for various cleaning tasks. parts2clean caters to this trend with a wide range of products, including systems for CO2 snow jet, plasma, laser, vibration and compressed air cleaning.
Expert forum and guided tours
"The simultaneously translated presentations (German <> English) at the three-day specialist forum are a hotspot and therefore a must for every visitor to the trade fair, providing a wealth of valuable information on trends and innovations," reports Daebler. Organized jointly with the Fraunhofer Cleaning Technology Alliance and the German Industrial Parts Cleaning Association (FiT), the knowledge forum will focus on presentations and discussions on basic principles, ways to optimize processes and costs, quality assurance, best-practice applications, trends and new developments.
The Guided Tours , which will be held in English on the three days of the trade fair, will enable trade visitors to find out about specific component and surface cleaning topics at selected trade fair stands along the process chain. They will get to know solutions, innovations and suppliers for their individual tasks in the shortest possible time. There are also advantages for the participating exhibitors. They can present their products and innovations directly to an interested specialist audience at their stand and thus generate additional contacts.
