Meusburger on the road to success
The Meusburger Group closes 2017 with a new record turnover of 291 million euros. The expert for standardized quality standard parts, hot runner and control technology products and selected workshop supplies thus recorded an increase in turnover of over 8% compared to the previous year.
The largest extension in the company's history was officially opened in October with 4,500 visitors. In addition to the third high-bay warehouse with 2,400 cassette spaces, an automated small parts warehouse with over 30,000 storage spaces was built on an area of around 8,700 square meters, which enables even faster order picking and delivery to customers. Another highlight is the new training workshop, which offers even more space for training to the highest technical standards. Thanks to the investment in training its own specialists, the company is also ideally equipped for the future.
The family-owned company based in Wolfurt attributes the continuous increase in turnover to the strategic measures taken in recent years: in addition to expanding the product portfolio to over 86,000 items for tool, mold and machine construction, the focus was placed on expanding the sales team. PSG, which joined the Meusburger Group in 2016, also contributed to the success of the past year: "The product portfolios of Meusburger and PSG complement each other perfectly. This means that with Meusburger standard parts and PSG hot runner and control units, customers receive the complete package from a single source," says Managing Director Guntram Meusburger.
"As we had already almost achieved our original Meusburger Group turnover target of 300 million euros by 2020 in 2017, we were able to set ourselves new targets. That means over half a billion euros by 2025. I am very confident that we will achieve the targets we have set," explains Guntram Meusburger. This continuous growth also guarantees customers long-term planning security with the Meusburger Group as a reliable and global partner for tool, mould and machine construction. kp
