Junker receives highest award in China
Last year awarded as "preferred supplier" by Geely, this year honored in the highest category "Excellence": On March 25, 2019, Junker was the only European supplier of Zhejiang Geely Automobile Parts & Components to receive the "Geely Excellence Auto 2019" award for the second time in a row. A very special award for the company and recognition for increasing success with "Excellence".
Trust, faith, integrity and loyalty were the key words of this year's Zhejiang Geely Automobile Parts & Components Supplier Conference. The conference honored the suppliers who play a key role in the rapid and healthy development of Geely. In addition to high quality products and services, the winners were recognized for their determination to never give up and courageously move forward.
The award was presented to Erwin Junker Maschinenfabrik by the Vice President of Geely Holding Group, Mr. Yu Guan, and the Managing Director, Mr. Hua Xu. Managing Director Rochus Mayer proudly accepted the award in Hangzhou.
The Zhejiang Geely Holding Group (ZGH) is a Chinese automobile and motorcycle manufacturer consisting of many well-known international brands such as Lotus and Volvo. Geely acquired a 9.69 percent stake in Daimler last year. The automotive group was founded in 1986 and today employs 80,000 people. ZGH is headquartered in Hangzhou in southwest China. The company had a record year in 2018, selling over 2.2 million cars. This year, 2.3 million cars are to be sold and over 2.8 million in 2020.
For the Junker Group, this award is a very special honor and a significant customer reference. "This award is further proof that the Junker Group is firmly rooted in China. Commitment, passion and the power as well as the convincing will for our products, cutting-edge technology and services were also recognized by Geely this year," says Managing Director Rochus Mayer.
