Interoute Cloud with new offering in São Paulo
Interoute, a global cloud and network provider, has announced that it is now offering its services in São Paulo, Brazil. It is the company's first location in South America and will provide various connectivity solutions in collaboration with local partners and host a new virtual data center zone.
This latest addition to the Interoute platform further expands Interoute's presence in the Americas, following locations in Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Washington. As demand for Interoute's offerings continues to grow, the São Paulo location provides the opportunity to tap into the new emerging markets in South America. The Global Cities Index ranks São Paulo as the leading city for doing business in South America.
"The economic power of South America is becoming increasingly important to our global customer base, especially as São Paulo becomes a magnet for cloud and SaaS offerings," said Mark Lewis, EVP of Products and Development at Interoute. "This is an important strategic development for the Interoute Enterprise Digital Platform as it opens up cloud and SD-WAN services to another continent. Our platform helps enterprises optimize the performance of applications deployed by SaaS providers and distributed across data centers worldwide. Regional presence is key to accelerating this performance over our low-latency SDN core network."
Following the recent opening of a PoP (Point of Presence) in Sydney, the new location in South America is further evidence of Interoute's commitment to expanding its global footprint. The services in São Paulo will go live in early 2018 and Interoute's global network will connect 128 major cities in 31 countries across five continents. Interoute offers its customers a global ICT infrastructure platform that supports the integration of enterprise legacy IT into digital environments. The Interoute Enterprise Digital Platform brings improved application performance to businesses. It combines a high-speed global fibre network with a software-defined core, a global cloud computing platform and edge SD-Wan and security devices to connect sites, offices and branches and optimize the flow of global data traffic.
