The new complex combines two areas. The centerpiece of the first is the 400 m² clean room for the production of optoelectronic components. "With the completion of the cleanroom building and the acquisition of additional machinery and equipment, our production capacity will increase by a third," says Dr. Matthias Heinze, Managing Partner and responsible for the infrared sensor technology division. "Energy-efficient air conditioning technology and a modern production control system will ensure perfect conditions."

The second area of the new complex is located on the upper floor directly above the clean room. On a usable area of more than 500 m², various office work areas for individual and group work as well as lounge corners for spontaneous work meetings are being created. "Our aim is also to noticeably improve the working conditions for employees in the cleanroom and office area through this expansion. They should have first-class working conditions, enjoy coming to work and feel comfortable," says Dr. Matthias Krauß, Managing Partner and responsible for the infrared measurement technology division.

To create precisely these conditions, the company is making by far the largest investment in the twenty-seven years of its existence. A total of ten million euros is being invested in the expansion of the production facility. The investment project, which is also a commitment to the TechnologieZentrumDresden (South) location, is being supported by the Sächsische Aufbaubank with funds from the "Improvement of the Regional Economic Structure" (GRW) development program.

Construction started in January of this year. The construction work is on schedule and on budget and is currently even ahead of the original target. "If we can all celebrate together here today, then it is largely due to your skill and diligence," said Dr. Heinze, thanking the construction companies, "and allows us to look forward to completion on schedule in August 2019." The start of production in the new clean room and the move into the office floor are scheduled for September 2019.
