Schunk succeeds Basler
Henrik Schunk joins the VDMA Executive Committee
At its ordinary meeting, the VDMA Executive Board elected Henrik Schunk as Vice President of the association.
Schunk has been Managing Partner and CEO of the automation specialist Schunk, based in Lauffen am Neckar, since 2002. The family entrepreneur replaces Norbert Basler on the Executive Committee, who has stepped down for personal reasons.
Henrik Schunk is responsible for sales and innovation management within the Schunk Group. The industrial engineer was a member of the Executive Board of VDMA Robotics + Automation from 2009 to 2012. He has been a member of the VDMA Executive Board since 2013.
At European level, Schunk is active in EUnited Robotics; from 2010 to 2016 as Chairman and since 2017 as Vice Chairman.
