Grob Group: Christian Müller succeeds Jochen Nahl

There has been a generational change in sales management within the Grob Group. Christian Müller, President Sales Americas, is taking over from long-serving Sales Director Jochen Nahl as his successor.

Jochen Nahl joined Grob in 2001 as Director of Sales, Project Planning and Marketing and had been Managing Director Sales in the Group since 2003. On April 1, Christian Müller, long-standing Managing Director Sales for Brazil and the USA, with responsibility for sales in North and South America, took over Mr. Nahl's duties as Managing Director Sales in the Group.

43-year-old Christian Müller grew up in Brazil and started his career in the company in 2001 as a 25-year-old in project planning in Mindelheim, before succeeding his father as Sales Director at B. Grob do Brasil six years later, in spring 2007, and later forming the congenial third-generation management team with Michael Bauer (CEO of B. Grob do Brasil). Through consistent marketing and sales measures, he was not only able to strengthen the brand in Brazil, but also very successfully win orders from the systems business.

It was during his time that the enormously important realignment of the sales strategy took place with the market launch of the universal machines. This was not without its problems, as the Brazilian market for universal machines tended to demand 4-axis applications for production and Christian Müller first had to do a lot of convincing with his 5-axis universal machines. In the years that followed, he continued to work very successfully with Michael Bauer on the reorientation in Brazil. After all, it took a great deal of tact to convince customers of the quality and outstanding technology of the products. In November 2014, Christian Müller was appointed President Sales Americas, strengthening the link between North, Central and South America within the group of companies. Working closely with Michael Hutecker, CEO of Grob Systems, a strong focus was placed on building up a powerful sales team in the USA, expanding the system and universal machine business and also establishing the important new pillar of "electromobility" with "local" orders.

With his practical experience in the automotive industry and in the field of universal machines, he is the ideal candidate for the important position of Sales Director. Thanks to his many years of experience abroad, combined with perfect language skills in German, Portuguese and English, Christian Müller will represent the Group very well with international customers.
