Tool and mold making days
Fully booked Meusburger industry meeting for tool and mold making
The Meusburger Tool and Mold Making Days took place for the second time at the end of March 2018 in the Bregenz Festival Hall. The event format of the "industry get-together in the 4-country corner" takes place every one and a half years and was fully booked weeks in advance.
Around 340 visitors attended exciting presentations and were able to discuss current industry topics during the breaks. The event was accompanied by an in-house exhibition with well-known exhibitors. A supporting programme with plenty of opportunities for networking rounded off the perfectly organized trade days.
Future topics for the industry
For the second time, the Bregenz Festival Hall was the venue for the exclusive industry get-together for tool and mold making. During the two-day networking event in cooperation with the VDWF (Verband Deutscher Werkzeug- und Formenbauer e.V.) and the trade magazine FORM+Werkzeug, experts spoke about the future of the industry in 13 different presentations. In addition to topics such as digitalization and additive manufacturing, the focus was also on people as a success factor for toolmaking. The presentation by university professor Dr. Ulrich Eberl from the SciPress editorial office on the future of 2050 and the resulting challenges for the various industries was particularly impressive.
Varied exchange of knowledge
"With this event format, we want to offer our customers an ideal platform for networking," explains Guntram Meusburger, Managing Partner of Meusburger. Between the presentations, the specialist audience was able to find out about the products and services of the 44 exhibiting companies or take part in a tour of the Meusburger headquarters in nearby Wolfurt. During the concluding panel discussion, the content presented was analyzed and open questions were answered. "I particularly like the small format in an almost informal setting. You meet a lot of familiar faces here in a relaxed atmosphere away from the workshop and take the time for in-depth discussions. I also found the detour to Meusburger with the insight into the logistical processes, such as the automatic small parts warehouse, particularly exciting," says Jörg Eidmann from Ross & Eidmann OHG in Dieburg.
Colorful supporting program
The first day was rounded off with a boat trip in the Bay of Bregenz. There was an exuberant atmosphere at the subsequent networking party with a flying dinner and live music. The second day ended with an extensive business lunch. Visitors and exhibitors alike were delighted with the all-round success of the event. "The event simply offers a perfect overall package - great atmosphere, super location, exciting presentations on current topics as well as future trends and new technologies. You meet friends here, not just business partners, and can make new contacts at the same time. We definitely won't miss the next network meeting in fall 2019," summarize exhibitors Florian Schmitz and Florian Niethammer from Moulding Expo. am
