From Universal Robots to Agilox
After a brief interlude with Franka Emika, Helmut Schmid has now landed at the helm of the AMR manufacturer.
Agilox makes new appointments to its top management. Helmut Schmid will take over the role of CEO in January 2022, succeeding Franz Humer. Schmid will continue the company's strategy to further expand the AMR manufacturer's global market share. As sole Managing Director, he will also add three new authorized signatories to the management team: Josef Baumann-Rott, Klaus Pucher and Robert Mayer.
Helmut Schmid was Head of Germany and Western Europe at cobot specialist Universal Robots for many years. Most recently, he was Managing Director at Franka Emika in Munich.
New top management
Schmid is a specialist in growth strategies, business development, change management, internationalization, sales and marketing, and has also made a name for himself as co-founder of the German Robotics Association and Robotics Ventures GmbH. Now the new CEO wants to drive the further development of the company and internationalize it. "Agilox is a brand with a strong base and equally strong market potential. I look forward to contributing my experience to the company in order to continue to develop it profitably and position it on the market in the long term," says Schmid.
