Four decades of robotics expertise for IFR

The Executive Board of the International Federation of Robotics (IFR) has elected Takayuki Ito (Fanuc Corporation) from Japan as its Vice President. He succeeds Kenji Yamaguchi (Fanuc Corporation) and represents the IFR together with IFR President Marina Bill.

40 years of robotics experience

65-year-old Takayuki Ito can look back on more than 40 years of experience in the robotics industry. He currently works as Senior Managing Officer for the Robot Business and Sales Division of the Japanese robot manufacturer Fanuc Corporation. Ito began his career in 1981 as a software engineer at Fanuc. In 1997, he joined Fanux Robotics North America as Executive Vice President in Detroit. In 2002, he returned to his parent company and assumed the role of General Manager of the Robot Technology Center at Fanuc's headquarters in Japan.

Global robotics mouthpiece

The International Federation of Robotics is the voice of the global robotics industry. IFR represents national robotics associations, educational institutions and robot manufacturers from more than twenty countries. IFR was founded in 1987 as a non-profit organization.
