Federal Minister of Economics
Robert Habeck comes to the Hannover Messe
Around 4,000 companies from the mechanical engineering, electrical and digital industries as well as the energy sector are expected in Hanover in April. The Federal Minister of Economics, Dr. Robert Habeck, will come to Hanover on the second day of the trade fair to discuss the path to climate-friendly production with the industry.
The BMWK (Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection) wants to support large companies with climate protection contracts worth billions in order to help them switch to climate-friendly production. The energy system is also being restructured: Renewable energies are being expanded and power plants are being modernized. New power plants must be hydrogen-ready and thus planned from the outset.
Hydrogen is one of five trend themes at Hannover Messe, with more than 500 companies presenting hydrogen and fuel technologies at the exhibition center. Other overarching themes includeCO2-neutral production, artificial intelligence, energy management and Industry 4.0.
