Eva Schönleitner is the new CEO of Crate.io

The Crate.io Board of Directors has appointed Eva Schönleitner as CEO. She replaces co-founder Christian Lutz in this position.

Crate.io is expanding its management team. With Eva Schönleitner, the company is bringing an experienced expert into the team who has been working internationally in the fields of technology and industry for more than 20 years. After working for technology companies such as Microsoft and VMware as well as management consultancies Deloitte and IBM in the USA, Schönleitner was most recently Head of Digital Partnerships at ABB for several years.

"I'm looking forward to my new role and to transforming the company to the next level together with the two founders Christian and Jodok," says Schönleitner.

Christian Lutz is taking on the role of President of the company's Board of Directors. In future, he will be primarily responsible for the areas of fundraising, finance and business development and is thus fully committed to the rapid growth of the company. Batlogg will remain responsible for Crate.io's technological developments in his role as CTO.

Eva Schönleitner studied chemistry and mathematics at Kepler University Linz and holds an MBA from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, USA. She spent 20 years in the USA in senior sales, marketing and product management positions in the high-tech sector. She gained additional international experience in DACH and Eastern Europe in senior management roles and since 2017 built up the global digital partnerships at ABB as part of the company's digital strategy.

In her new role at Crate.io, Eva Schönleitner brings a special focus on expanding the direct and indirect sales area in order to develop Crate.io into the preferred provider of real-time database solutions for IIoT customers and users. A first step in this direction is a new branch in Switzerland and a planned expansion in the USA.
