Endress+Hauser expands site in Waldheim
Endress+Hauser has opened a new development and production building in Waldheim. With around 18,000 m² of space, there is more room for pH glass sensors, laboratories, logistics and development.
Endress+Hauser has opened a new development and production building at its Waldheim site in Saxony. With this expansion, the family-owned company is strengthening its presence in the region and creating the basis for further growth.
Endress+Hauser has been active at the Waldheim site since 1990 and has continuously expanded. With an investment of around 35 million euros, the floor space has almost doubled and now measures more than 18,000 square meters. The new three-storey building includes production areas, a logistics area with a fully automated warehouse, extensive development areas with office workstations, laboratories and workshops as well as a new company restaurant.
Specialized in the production of pH glass sensors
Endress+Hauser Liquid Analysis develops and produces sensors and components for transmitters for liquid analysis of various parameters in Waldheim. The focus is on pH glass sensors, which are manufactured using a highly specialized process.
"The complex innovation process for the development and series launch of these products requires intensive collaboration between all those involved as well as space for individual creativity - the new building was designed with these needs in mind," says the company.
Expansion underlines long-term strategy
The expansion is also a commitment to Endress+Hauser's long-term location strategy. "With the expansion, we are creating space for further growth and sending a clear signal for our long-term location strategy. The new space will allow us to take our production and development to a new level," explains Dr. Thomas Buer, Managing Director of Endress+Hauser Liquid Analysis.
Dr. Peter Selders, CEO of the Endress+Hauser Group, adds: "Endress+Hauser is a technological leader. Innovation is a driver of our success, and the expertise of our employees forms the basis for this. That is why we continuously invest in our global network."
