Martin Göbel, Head of Trade Fairs at EMO organizer VDW: "Nowhere else can production specialists from the industry experience the sector's innovations as closely as here - thematically bundled, along the entire process chain."

Additive manufacturing processes are becoming increasingly important in production. And the business prospects are good, as a recent survey of around 200 member companies of the VDMA's Additive Manufacturing Working Group showed. However, the technology can only exploit its full potential if it is successfully integrated into highly automated industrial process chains. The Future of Connectivity Area focuses on the networking of processes. New applications, automation processes, smart production, Industry 4.0, machine learning, predictive maintenance, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and many other aspects will find their place here. Human-robot collaborations are now extremely popular. In the Open Space Cobot Solutions Area, everything therefore revolves around the collaboration between humans and industrial robots, their applications and possible uses. At EMO, the Future of Sustainability in Production Area will also showcase the contribution of production technology to sustainability. Here, information will be provided on energy efficiency in production, the integration of renewable energies, the circular economy and life cycle concepts.
