embedded world attracts 31,000 visitors

The embedded world in Nuremberg once again demonstrated its qualities this year and attracted around 31,000 visitors to Nuremberg with topics such as artificial intelligence and embedded vision. It is also of interest to the manufacturing industry.

From February 26 to 28, embedded world attracted around 31,000 visitors to Nuremberg, who took the opportunity to find out about trends in the embedded industry from 1,117 companies from all over the world. "In almost two decades, embedded world has developed extremely positively. This was once again impressively demonstrated in 2019. Around 31,000 trade visitors from 84 countries and 1,117 companies from 42 countries - almost 100 more than last year - presented themselves at the leading trade fair for the embedded community. The international share of exhibitors has risen again to 56 percent. The trade fair also increased its floor space by a further 8 percent. These are the largest figures to date for the trade fair in terms of exhibitor numbers and exhibition space, and we continue to see potential in this dynamic market. But it's not just the sheer numbers that are impressive this year, but also the extraordinarily positive atmosphere in the halls and at the conferences - this is where the community concept comes to life," says a delighted Richard Krowoza, Member of the Management Board, NürnbergMesse.

The trade fair is accompanied by two conferences: The embedded world Conference and the electronic displays Conference. Over 2,000 participants from all over the world attended both events. The theoretical knowledge imparted at the conferences was further deepened in the exhibition halls in the special areas M2M, electronic displays and safety & security or at the young innovative companies. In addition, the start-up area celebrated its successful premiere.

Also exciting for industry

Embedded world is not so well known in the manufacturing industry, but in the electronics sector it is regarded as the industry meeting place par excellence. It is where embedded and electronics developers meet to exchange ideas, but it also showcases interesting solutions for the manufacturing industry. Admittedly, you usually have to ask the exhibitors specifically about solutions and systems for the industry, but the answers are promising - whether from Codico, Intel, Mathworks or Rutronik. Various boards and other embedded systems can be used to quickly bring intelligence into the production hall - edge computing is just one of the buzzwords here. And you can also get competent information here on (technically) in-depth questions about artificial intelligence and its subordinate trends of machine learning and deep learning as well as their benefits and significance for a wide range of applications.

A visit to embedded world is therefore also well worthwhile for companies that want to turn their production into a smart factory or make their entire company future-proof. This is because competent development partners can be found there.

The next embedded world will take place in Nuremberg from February 25 to 27, 2020.
