Eisele: new administration building and automated small parts warehouse
Eisele Pneumatics puts its new administration building and automated small parts warehouse into operation at the expanded site in Waiblingen.
Around seven months after the topping-out ceremony, the new small parts warehouse and additional production and office space in Lise-Meitner-Straße have been completed as planned. On June 4, the entire company moved from Ameisenbühl to the expanded site. The automated small parts warehouse will speed up Eisele's internal logistics and production processes, thus ensuring the rapid distribution and worldwide sale of connection components in the highly competitive supplier industry market.
Two locations become one: on the reporting date, around half of Eisele's 160 employees moved to the new headquarters in Waiblingen, where there is still space available for future growth. The heart of the new building, the small parts warehouse with four aisles, offers space for 17,280 containers and can be expanded to up to 26,780 containers if required. Five shuttles are used to fill and store the bins. The shuttles run on rails attached to the rack rows and are lifted to the respective rack level via lifts. They can also change aisles independently, making optimum use of the available space.
The move is also accompanied by an optimization of business processes: the family-owned company is aiming for a completely paperless process, at the end of which there will be a connection to the new automated small parts warehouse. From incoming orders and production planning, through production and quality control, to storage and dispatch: the company's entire internal information exchange will run electronically from the time the new warehouse is commissioned.
