Change in the management of Schneider Electric
At his own request, Alexander von Schweinitz, Vice President Schneider Electric Germany and Managing Director of Merten GmbH, has relinquished operational responsibility for the Building Commercial division at the end of 2017. He is leaving the company to take on new challenges outside the Schneider Electric Group, but will remain associated with Schneider Electric as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Since 2011, Alexander von Schweinitz has successfully merged the division with the brands Schneider Electric, Merten, Ritto and most recently with the acquisition of ABN Braun, positioning Schneider Electric in the German market as a growth driver and major competitor in building technology.
Alexander von Schweinitz played a key role in shaping the transformation to a digital pioneer and full-service provider for building installation technology, laying the foundation for Schneider Electric's future growth in Germany.
