Bühler Motor: new Vice President Program Management North America
On March 19, Karl Wagner took up his new position as Vice President Program Management North America at Buehler Motor, Inc. Prior to joining Buehler, he worked for various divisions of Borg Warner for 18 years, most recently as Vice President Sales & Engineering Thermal. Wagner succeeds Mark Furtwängler, who has held this position since March 2016 and will return to the company headquarters in Nuremberg at the end of the year.
With his expertise, he will contribute to taking the company's international orientation to the next level and to positioning and profiling the technology leader for electric drive solutions even more strongly as a global system supplier.
In addition, as President and General Manager, Karl Wagner will assume overall responsibility for all activities in the North American market in the near future, with locations in Morrisville, North Carolina (North American Tech Center), Farmington Hills, Michigan (Sales and Tech Office) and Chihuahua, Mexico (Production).
"Karl Wagner is exactly the man I wanted as my successor. In addition to his professional qualifications, he is at home in both cultures and has spent most of his professional life working for American-managed and American-influenced companies," emphasizes Mark Furtwängler, President and General Manager of Buehler Motor, Inc.
The assets that Karl Wagner brings to the table include extensive experience in the area of permanent change processes. His core competencies include the development of strategies and product offerings for specific market segments.
"We are delighted to have gained a proven expert in globalization and localization in Karl Wagner. Karl Wagner joins us at exactly the right time," emphasizes Peter Muhr, President and CEO of Bühler Motor Group. kp
