Bühler Motor: Award from General Motors
On May 15, Bühler Motor was honored by General Motors as GM Supplier of the Year at the 27th annual awards ceremony in Detroit, MI.
During the event, GM honored the 133 of its best suppliers from 15 countries who have consistently exceeded expectations, created outstanding value or brought innovation to the company. Bühler Motor was honored for the second time. The award was accepted in person by Mark Furtwängler, Managing Director & Co-CEO and Karl Wagner, President & General Manager Buehler Motor, Inc.
"The bar is set high for our suppliers," said Steve Kiefer, Senior Vice President Global Purchasing and Supply Chain at GM. "They have done everything they can to deliver the innovation and quality that will help us win customers for life."
Based on various performance criteria in the areas of product purchasing, global purchasing and manufacturing services, customer care and service, and logistics, the Supplier of the Year award winners were selected by a global team of GM executives from purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics.
"This impressive award is a testament to the great results we can achieve together," said Mark Furtwängler, recognizing the team spirit and efforts at Bühler Motors. "In combination with the new business we have recently achieved, this allows us to be confident in our abilities - despite all the uncertainties prevailing worldwide."
The trophy, which is currently still at Bühler Motor in Morrisville, NC, will begin its journey around the globe in the coming weeks and will be passed on to all Bühler locations in turn as a sign of the company's success.
