Bosch Rexroth: Jochen Peter succeeds Steffen Haack

Bosch Rexroth AG is set for a change at the top of the Executive Board: Dr. Jochen Peter will become Chairman of the Executive Board from March 1, 2026. Dr. Steffen Haack, former CEO, will relinquish his position as Chairman, but will remain a member of the divisional board and focus on development and the identification of new growth areas in the future.

Dr. Jochen Peter takes over as Chairman of the Executive Board at Bosch Rexroth

Dr. Jochen Peter (50) will join the Executive Board of Bosch Rexroth AG in Lohr am Main on January 1, 2026. After an induction phase, he will take over the position of CEO on March 1, 2026. He succeeds Dr. Steffen Haack (59), who will relinquish his position as CEO at the same time, but will remain a member of the divisional board.

Haack will retain responsibility for development and will in future concentrate on identifying new strategic growth areas for Bosch Rexroth.

"Steffen Haack deserves great recognition for the important contribution he has made to Bosch Rexroth in recent years. As a member of the divisional board, he actively initiated and supported the upcoming generational change. In doing so, he has created the necessary stability in a challenging market environment and driven the further development of Bosch Rexroth," says Dr. Tanja Rückert, Member of the Board of Management of Robert Bosch GmbH and Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of Bosch Rexroth AG.

Dr. Steffen Haack: Focus on development and new growth areas

Dr. Steffen Haack will focus on development at Bosch Rexroth after handing over the chairmanship of the Management Board. His focus will be on identifying and promoting new strategic growth areas in order to successfully align the company in the long term.

Career of Dr. Jochen Peter

Dr. Jochen Peter studied mechanical and process engineering at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern and industrial engineering at the University of Hagen. He began his professional career in 2000 as a development engineer at BMW. At the same time, he completed his doctorate at the Fraunhofer Institute and subsequently worked for the Boston Consulting Group in the USA, among others.

In 2011, Peter moved to the Zeiss Group, where he held various management positions. In 2017, he became a member of the Executive Board of Carl Zeiss AG, where he was responsible for the Industrial Quality and Research division until the end of September 2025.

"In his previous position, Jochen Peter has shown that he can tap into new market potential even in difficult environments, develop new software business and successfully drive forward the transformation of a company," says Rückert.
