New construction and expansion

Balluff expands company headquarters

Balluff has presented its plans for the new construction and expansion of the company headquarters in Neuhausen. Construction is set to begin in 2019. The new campus will then provide jobs for a total of 1,250 employees, and the construction project is one of the largest investments in the company's history.

Since its foundation almost a century ago, the automation specialist Balluff has had its headquarters in Neuhausen. It had been clear since 2013 that the company buildings would reach their limits due to the company's growth. Initially, the site in Schurwaldstraße was to be expanded with a focus on logistics and office space. However, since 2015, the long-term development of the Balluff headquarters has come to the fore.

Grüntuch Ernst Architekten won the architectural competition. The two-stage concept includes the expansion of the existing headquarters in Schurwaldstrasse to include an office and development building and a company headquarters with an integrated customer and training center in Plieninger Strasse. The concept was presented to the Neuhausen local council in January. Construction of the office and development building is scheduled to begin in 2019. The construction project is one of the largest investments in Balluff's history.

Reorganization through new buildings

The two new buildings will reorganize the existing company headquarters, as the various divisions, which are currently spread across different locations in Neuhausen, will be brought together on one campus in future. The new multifunctional office and development building in Schurwaldstrasse will form the central axis of the new campus. The expansion of the company headquarters on Plieninger Strasse offers conference, event, office and meeting rooms on a floor area of 1,100 square meters.

The new building is the result of the Balluff Group's steady growth. With more than 3,600 employees worldwide and a total turnover of 378 million euros in 2016, the automation specialist has long been on a growth trajectory. In the past five years alone, the workforce at the Neuhausen site has increased by around 38 percent to more than 1,000 employees. The new construction and expansion offers the opportunity to concentrate jobs on one campus in the long term. as
