In 2020 and 2021, despite Corona, a successful all about automation was held in Chemnitz in September. The number of exhibitors has increased again for 2022. 174 exhibitors registered in mid-August, 10% more than in 2021. The hall space available in 2022 is fully booked. Multipliers and associations from the region support the trade fair in the heart of Saxony's mechanical engineering industry.

With its range of topics from automation components and systems to system integrators, distributors and service providers, all about automation sees itself as a platform for solution expertise on the path to flexible automation and smart production. Use cases presented at the trade fair serve as best practices, ideas and decision-making aids to make manufacturing processes more efficient.

Both the big, internationally renowned names in the automation industry and regionally rooted suppliers present themselves and their range of products and services at Messe Chemnitz. Personal advice and time to work out individual solutions in the most pleasant trade fair atmosphere; this is how the concept of all about automation can be outlined.

The lecture program at all about automation is open to all trade fair visitors free of charge. It will take place in the Talk Lounge directly in the exhibition hall. The practical relevance of all about automation is once again evident in the program design. It is about what is already possible today, application examples and implemented solutions. The thematic focus is on IIoT and HRC solutions.

Developing the right automation solution requires willpower and the courage to get started. As part of the "Business Impulse" series, Joey Kelly will give an impressive talk at all about automation about his life as an entrepreneur and endurance athlete. On September 28, 2022 at 4 p.m., the topic for one hour will be: 'No Limits - How do I achieve my goal? All visitors and exhibitors are cordially invited. Many stands and presentations will focus on robotics and HRC solutions

Broad support from the region

The list of competence partners of Chemnitz all about automation shows the importance of the trade fair for the region. All about automation is actively supported by WFS Wirtschaftsförderung Sachsen, the Dresden Chamber of Crafts, Wirtschaftsförderung Erzgebirge, the Mittelstand-Digital Zentrum Chemnitz and the City of Chemnitz's business division. There are also important institutes and associations in the ranks of competence partners for automation and mechanical engineering: The Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology IWU, the Innovation Network for Mechanical Engineering VEMASinnovativ, the ICM - Institute of Chemnitz Machinery and Plant Engineering and Building 3D e.V.. All competence partners are represented with stands at the trade fair.

Additive manufacturing with special area

For the first time, Building 3D e.V. is enriching all about automation with a joint stand on additive manufacturing. Building 3D e.V. has set itself the goal of strengthening additive manufacturing in Saxony, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt and unites many SMEs from the region under its umbrella. The exhibitors at the special area will demonstrate the potential that additive solutions have in relation to automation technology - for example, through the production of customized grippers or special operating equipment. Conversely, the development of automation technology and robotics is also leading to expanded possibilities in additive manufacturing - for example, multi-axis 3D printing. How 3D printing can offer solutions to current delivery problems is one of the topics that will be discussed at the Speakers Corner of the joint area.
