Andritz takes over induction heating specialist Sanzheng

International technology group Andritz has acquired a 51% stake in Baoding Sanzheng Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. The China-based company specializes in advanced industrial induction heating systems. With this acquisition, Andritz strengthens its position as a comprehensive solution provider for steel processing, especially in the field of electrical steel.

With the integration of Sanzheng, Andritz now offers a complete portfolio of induction heating technologies, further increasing its competitiveness in international markets. The expanded offering strengthens the company's competence in providing complete solutions for electrical steel processing, galvanizing, annealing and forging.

Guido Burgel, Senior Vice President Metals Processing at Andritz, explains: "This acquisition perfectly supports our goal to be the leading solution provider for further processing in the steel industry. The combination of Sanzheng's proven induction technology with our global presence, process know-how and service expertise enables us to offer more comprehensive, efficient and sustainable solutions - induction heating offers steel mills significant potential to reduce their carbon footprint."

Sanzheng employs more than 130 people in the areas of research and development, design and production and generates an annual turnover of around 30 million euros. The company's technologies for induction strip heating, wire heating and high-frequency welding are widely used in the metal industry as well as in other sectors such as the paper industry, the automotive industry, mechanical engineering and the building materials industry.

The purchase was completed in December 2025. Sanzheng will continue to operate under its existing name and with the existing management structure, ensuring continuity for customers and partners.
