ABN is a new member of the ZVEI

The subsidiary of Schneider Electric, ABN GmbH, is a new member of the German Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association (ZVEI).

Burkhard Zahn, CEO of ABN GmbH

"Companies in the electrical engineering and electronics industry in Germany are key pacemakers of technological progress. In order to strengthen their position in Europe as a basis for global competitiveness, the ZVEI supports the further entrepreneurial development of our industry as a knowledgeable, sought-after and assertive discussion partner," explains Burkhard Zahn, CEO of the specialist for meter location and distribution technology.

He hopes that the membership will provide strong impetus for his own business model: "ABN by Schneider Electric brings an important area of expertise in the field of networked and energy-efficient building solutions to a portfolio of strong brands that complement each other perfectly in the four-member association with Schneider Electric, Merten and Ritto. With a view to our further growth, we see the ZVEI as an important companion and supporter."

ABN is a medium-sized company headquartered in Neuenstadt am Kocher and acts as a system partner for electrical wholesalers, electrical installers and switchgear manufacturers, offering customized services.

ABN and Schneider Electric joined forces in spring 2017. In order to offer integrated and customer-specific power distribution systems from a single source, the expertise for DIN rail mounted devices and metering systems was combined. In Germany, Schneider Electric has thus positioned itself as a full-service provider for electrical installation solutions.
