New gearbox for high-performance drive axles
The new XP+ High Torque gearbox from Wittenstein alpha is specially designed for high-performance drive axes, for example in automated handling technology.
The new gearbox offers a significant increase in performance, which enables the development of machines with new performance dimensions, as well as considerable savings potential in terms of installation space and weight for downsizing drive solutions. Automated handling technology in particular benefits from the performance features of the new premium gearbox. Significantly higher process, feed and lever forces as well as faster machine cycles can be achieved. Even with frequent changes in the direction of rotation, even more precise and repeatable positioning is possible - consistently over the entire service life. The shorter overall length also opens up cost savings thanks to a more compact machine design. On the other hand, the mass of the gearbox can be halved through downsizing. This benefits energy efficiency, particularly in the case of traveling axles, but can also lead to cost savings thanks to a simpler machine design. Thanks to cynapse - an integrable sensor module with an IO-Link communication interface and integrated data evaluation logic - the XP+ High Torque, as well as the tried-and-tested XP+ in the standard version, offer Industry 4.0 connectivity. This opens up the option of using digital services to monitor the process quality of handling systems, increase their availability and detect faults before they occur.
