Meurer-etechnik becomes a partner of the Rittal and Eplan Application Center

The medium-sized company Meurer-etechnik GmbH from Großmaischeid is a new partner of the Rittal and Eplan Application Centers. The aim of the Application Centers is to bring digitalization and automation in control and switchgear engineering to life in a practical way and to offer companies concrete solutions for investment decisions.

"Rittal and Eplan put their heart and soul into developing solutions for our industry - I can really see that now," says Dietmar Meurer, owner of Meurer-etechnik. "We at Meurer-etechnik can incorporate our experience and are asked for feedback on new developments because we are the ones who have to make meters outside."

New partner in the Rittal and Eplan Application Center

Meurer-etechnik has been working with Eplan and Rittal for many years. The 65-strong company optimized its production early on with their software and hardware solutions and is regularly active as a test and development partner, for example for new worker assistance systems.

"Meurer-etechnik was particularly quick to recognize the potential of high-quality, standardized 3D data - for engineering processes and as a digital twin for all subsequent steps," says Dr. Marco Litto, Senior Vice President Strategy & Corporate Program at Eplan. "The intensive, consistent use of our solutions and the open exchange help us in the partnership to continuously optimize our solutions. A win-win-win for us, Meurer-etechnik and all interested colleagues in the industry."

Automation solutions under real conditions

In conjunction with Eplan software, Meurer-etechnik is already using machines and solutions from Rittal Automation Systems (RAS), including the Perforex BC drilling and milling center and the CT H cutting terminal. Further automation solutions such as the WT C wire terminal are to follow.

"Decisions for automation solutions are not made in a showroom. The solutions have to prove their benefits in practice. In Großmaischeid, visitors see machines and software under real conditions and can clarify any questions with experts from Meurer, Eplan and Rittal," says Jochen Trautmann, Managing Director of Rittal Automation Systems.

Teamwork as the key to digital transformation

Meurer-etechnik covers various fields of application, from industrial automation and municipal water supply to energy distribution in buildings or data centers.

"Progress in industry is always teamwork. The digital transformation of control and switchgear manufacturing can only be successful if users and manufacturers work closely together," says Uwe Scharf, Managing Director Sales Germany and Europe at Rittal. "I am therefore all the more pleased that we are taking our long-standing collaboration with Meurer-etechnik to the next level. It is precisely this willingness to share experience and expertise that drives the industry as a whole forward."
