Automation solutions
Manufacturing from a distance
Dunkermotoren was present in Hanover together with its sister company MAE and its subsidiary EGS Automation. Dunkermotoren and EGS transmitted real-time data from a system for the automated processing of engine components live from the headquarters in Bonndorf to Hanover.
The services of Nexofox, the IIo-T brand from Dunkermotoren, offer customers the opportunity to easily and remotely retrieve data from connected motors or automation systems when implementing comparable automation solutions. The machining process could be monitored from Hanover via a camera installed in the production area.
In the system, end shields are fed by two robots one after the other to a processing machine and several drilling units. All Dunkermotoren software products are developed using the Asset Administration Shell (AAS) approach in accordance with the Industrial Digital Twin Association (IDTA) and provided in accordance with the Open Industry 4.0 Alliance. This makes it easy to integrate into your own or existing IIoT ecosystems. Another highlight is a highly dynamic four-axis handling system. A gantry system consisting of various linear modules is at the heart of this model.
MAE, the sister company of Dunkermotoren from Italy, presented a complete redesign of the ST stepper motor series in Hanover. Combined with gearboxes, encoders, brakes and electronics, the stepper motors can be configured to form a complete drive. The new STE series motors already have integrated electronics and therefore offer less cabling and many other advantages. The stepper motors and their attachments are all manufactured in Europe.
