Ironless DC motors

Movement without iron

The family of ironless DC motors from Koco Motion is growing: the manufacturer is introducing two new versions with up to 200 watts peak power. The ironless DC motors, also known as corless DC motors, are becoming larger and more powerful; the new bell armature DC motors with robust copper-carbon commutation and diameters of 30 and 32 millimetres can accelerate quickly thanks to the ironless winding and achieve long service lives with efficiencies of up to 90 percent.

With a diameter of just 30 millimetres and a length of 68 millimetres, the DC motor 3068 has a peak output of up to 200 watts at 4,000 revolutions per minute. Type 3257, on the other hand, proves to be a small powerhouse with an output of 85 watts at 24 volts. Both new products are suitable for use in battery-powered applications, such as handpieces and tools. Typical applications include medical technology, automation, smart home products and various industrial applications of all kinds. pb
