Frequency inverter
For every type of motor
Omron has expanded its range of Q2 frequency inverters with the Q2V series of compact drives. The new model enables motor control with just one drive for each type of motor.
Frequency inverters are used to control the current frequency supplied to an AC motor. This allows the speed and acceleration of pumps, fans and other industrial machines to be controlled, for example. According to the manufacturer, the Q2V inverters are easy to install and, thanks to their robust construction, are designed for maintenance-free operation for ten years. Commissioning is also said to be simple: All inputs and outputs have screwless connection terminals. The hardware offers an integrated EMC filter (electromagnetic compatibility), STO function (Safety Torque Off) and a braking transistor. An intelligent setup guides the user through the parameter settings. In addition to control options for different types of AC motors, the Q2V has two power ratings for high or normal loads. The same inverter can thus be used to drive motors with different power ratings, depending on the load. as
